½ lb good thick bacon
Four chopped up medium size onions
3 cloves of garlic, sliced
3 largish carrots, peeled and sliced
A pint of cherry tomatoes
Sauté each of these in turn in bacon fat
When onions glisten. Add
24 oz. of Green or black lentils
Enough water for the lentils to absorb
½ to 2/3 cups of currant soaked orange juice
Add all including juice
At least 2 or more tbls of french mustard, depending on taste
Salt, pepper, drop of cayenne
